Bernardin jars [General]

2008 Sep 17
Hi,
I plan on making my own jam to give out at my wedding and I was thinking of using the 125 mL jars:

We plan on making around 250 jars. Anyone knows of a good place to buy those at a good price?

Thanks.

Hi PAB:

I don't know of anywhere to by the small jars, but if you find somewhere, let me know--I'm planning on doing this for my summer wedding next year.

PAB & lwb - I knew I had seen these somewheres... typically I've found canning supplies in the past at hardware stores (Cdn Tire in town might have them)... but for sure you'll find them at the hardward stores more in the burbs and villages outside of town. I did some googling, and discovered that Home Hardware has the Small Jelly Jars listed in their catalogue, (Item 4448-333) a 12 pack for $ 7.29

I can tell you that Preston HW does not have these. I was there the other day to get more jars and all they have right now are pint-sized narrow-mouths, and 1.5L wide-mouths. And for extra lids, only the narrow-mouth.
