Any heard anything about food events on canada day? Ive been working so much I have not had time to look or nose around.

So far all I've heard about food wise is the Great Canadian Chicken BBQ (now in its 16th year). The BBQ is sponsored by the Chicken Farmers of Canada and takes place in Major's Hill Park and runs Canada Day from 10 AM to 8 PM (or until they are SOLD OUT). 10,000 Chicken Breasts will be prepared, and sold in sandwiches. This years winning entry called "Dad's Favourite" features hot sauce, cheddar cheese and a touch of honey, 50 cents from each sandwich sold with benefit The Ottawa Food Bank.
