I seem to remember that the Italian Week website has precious little mention of food. In fact, it comes across as a non-event from a foodie perspective.
Ok, now that I've actually read the website info, it is lacking... what happened to the great events just a year or so ago when they had Chef's Dinners, Wine Tastings and Cooking Classes with Massimo Capra? Looks like they've gone off course.
I just got an email from a friend of mine, and apparently Nicastro's on Preston will be offering proscuitto sandwiches, gelato and their homemade sausages... count me in!
One year, one of the restaurants on Preston had a table set up selling packages of their own marinated olives. They were awesome. I wish I could which restaurant it was, but I will be looking out for them if we go this year.
