Rouladen is a roll of thinly sliced meat, usually beef, that has some kind of stuffing inside the roll. The stuffing can be just about anything imaginable but the common thread is that the meat has usually been cooked and/or marinated in a vinegar or wine solution much like Sauerbraten.

At JIJ's I seem to recall they serve it with Spaetzle - in any case I always ask for the Spaetzle with everything at JIJ's because theirs is so fantastic. I've had their Rouladen many times and it is a true joy every single time I eat it.
