Trouble: I went for lunch after my last review right before Christmas and the menu was still similar to what I've described. I haven't been recently though.

Have gone twice now -breakfast and lunch. Nice pub menu. This is not foodie heaven but a quite decent place for inexpensive lunch(menu included burgers, liver and onions, bangers and mash). Their weekend breakfasts are a good value, well prepared and quick. Is it possible they've changed menus since Nov 5? or that they have a different menu at night? I tried it based on the previous review which made it sound a bit more upscale than what I found.

I go to The Brig a few times a year. It was nothing too special. Typical beers, typical pub food right? WRONG! We went there last night with a group of friends (because the food and wine show had a 2h long ticket holders line) and they re-did their menu and it's pretty impressive for pub food now.

I think the maximum price for a meal was about $15 but nmost were around $9. It was much more adventurous than most pubs.

I had the Trinidad Stuffed Chicken which was a quarter chicken stuffed with a sweetpotato and (???) filling with and orangy sauce. It was served with a rice pilaf (not great but ok and better than 'regular' pub food) and roasted veggies (good but proportionally WAY too many onions). I would give it an 8 overall. I don't expect super-chef skills but I was still impressed.

My husband had the blue cheese burger and he's still talking about it. It was huge and came with fries and only cost $8 He gives it a 10 but is less descriptive than me. I tired his fries though and they had a nice seasoning.

So I suggest to anyone that hasn't been to The Brig in the last month to go and try their new menu!
