Sushi quest... etc etc... you know the drill by now :)
In any case, I stopped by for a quick lunch today - I ordered a salmon skin roll and a spicy tuna roll from the a la carte menu. Both were very good. The tightness of these rolls were a little lacking though, but I was too hungry to care.
What I do like about this place is the atmosphere. It seems very cozy to me, and I will certainly return.
Nanook - re: sushi pizza, if you don't try it at Sushi Kan, try it at Genji! It's awesome!
Every year we would go to Suisha Gardens for our anniversary. The last time was 3 years ago. It had changed so much, the event was disappointing. Our waitress took away our drinks before we finished them, the steak I ordered was not the steak on the menu. I always ordered the most tender steak they had and that last time they told me that all the steaks were the same. I asked, why then, did they have two cuts of beef. We asked to speak with the owner but she said he was gone for the night. It's really sad as it was our favourite place. We have been trying different places now and maybe we'll find something to call our special place again.
Japanese are very loyal and very supportive to their people. So, I am not surprised they go to this place instead of other Jap restaurants.
We went to this place couple years ago.
Do not recommend their Grilled squid. I rememebr that the waitress was very polite to answer our questions in English. But we had a hard time to understand what she was talking.
I haven't been back for a while. Would like to try other places instead.
As a vegan, I appreciate an interesting selection of veggie sushi (asparagus, seaweed, tofu...), but wow, the price! If you want good veggie sushi and don't mind shelling out, this is the place for you.
