Ottawa Foodies

Things have changed here, and not for the better. The formerly great chips have been seriously undersalted in all three of my most recent visits.

We went here with a co-worker who was visiting from Shanghai. Now nobody expects polite service at Lone Star but we hit a new low this time! Our server arrived with a steak, served it to the co-worker, then lifted his salad plate to take it away. Noticing that the plate still contained a fork, he paused, holding it in the air right in front of the co-worker's face, and said "Grab your fork!"

Lone Star is an old stand by. Always want to try something different but always end up ordering fajitas, YUM! Usually the beef, tender and hot. Sides are always really fresh. The con queso, chips and salsa are all great starters... and always with a nice cold Corona.
