Ottawa Foodies

It was packed by the time we arrived on Sunday afternoon around 6: 30, Lucky enough we got the last table :)
It’s the second time we have being here, food is always great, and service is attentive.

We ordered:
Lamb Vindloo
Chicken Do piaza - chicken simmered in different spices. one of my fav dishes!
Grilled eggplant with fresh onions, tomato and gingers.
Vegetable briyani - very tasty !

Overall, nice experience, we will definitely go back~

We've had takeout from this place several times. The dining room only holds 30 people (and that sounds optimistic to me).

The food flavour and quality is excellent. Prices are on the high end, especially the butter chicken ($14.95). But it's the best butter chicken in town, so...

Take out orders typically come with complimentary papadums. A nice gesture!

I've always said that Indian cuisine is the ultimate takeout choice. The food (except Naan) is actually as good at home as it is in the restaurant.

I do catering all over Ottawa,and mainly East Indian. I have been catering for over 20 years,and worked at the second Indian restaurant in Ottawa,and must admit this lil place is the best kept secret in Ottawa. I have brought many people here and they have told me they will return as long as they are open. If you have not tried it please do.

Best butter chicken I've had in Ottawa! Very flavourful and creamy.

Very good, with above average spice level.

Good, fresh tandoori naan. Not the best in town, but a welcome addition to the meal. We ordered two last night and one of them had a bit too much blackening.
