Went by for lunch today and I have to say besides having great food: the two people(younger female and a guy) working were working their butts off and doing an amazing job! They had all the normal customers plus a slew of construction workers. When we arrived there were probably 8 construction workers who had ust ordered, and 2-3 people who were ahead of us in line. We still had our food within less than 5 minutes!

Now it's hard for me to review pulled pork, as there is none better than a few I have had that you can't get here, but for a restaurant, it's by far the best I've had. The texture is perfect.

I had the pork poutine and my mate had the cuban combo. We both agreed that the fries are probably the best we've had at a chip truck in the city, she loved her sammmie, though she couldn't finish it. And while I wasn't sure that pulled pork and poutine went together. They did!

Way too much gravy, might have just been an overpour(As in when I finshed there was half a carton of gravy left lol) but it was very good and the mix of pulled pork and curd cheese is much better than expected!

Would love it if a bottle of extra bbq sauce was available with the ketchups and vinegars.

I went last week, and by the time I got there at around 12:30, they were sold out of pulled pork, and schnitzel. I saw the last schnitzel sandwiches going out the window and they looked great. I opted for the last of the ribs/platter. It was all good. The ribs specifically were not smoked - or if they were I got no smoke from them. They were also "fall of the bone" which made for easy eating, but for me means over cooked. Having said that, they were very moist, the sauce was good, and they had a nice flavour. I really want to go back and try the pulled pork and the schnitzel soon.

Picked up the MTL smoke meat sandwich the other day...Sandwich was real good, the Garlic Aioli worked really well with the smoke meat however a little too much sauce was added so it overpowered a little bit the meat but overall a very good sandwich.

Great place. Really enjoyed the pulled pork combo. Nice bun, excellent fries, not greasy. They almost looked partly baked what with the nice browning in spots. The slaw was good too.

I should elaborate on the bun. Unlike an earlier commenter who prefers a hot dog bun or similar, I love the TPB issue. It's thick but light, and does not get soggy. In cross section, you see the sauce seep only a few mm into the bread. The outside of the bun is a nice, brown colour, slight crisp texture, perhaps an egg wash. I wouldn't change anything, for me any sandwich has to have the proper bread, it is not merely meat delivery (although I like that term).

My girlfriend had the pulled pork poutine, which we ended up sharing. Delicious. Huge portion, lots of pork, curds, and sauce.

The pork had a good mix of chunks and floss as another poster mentioned. Good smokiness. I added some Franks for more tang, but the smooth, unsweet, mildly spicey taste might be good enough for others; I just wanted a bit more bite. In the poutine, the pork needs no more dimension, it was perfect for my taste.

All in all, well worth the $11 and $8.50 respectively, taxes in. Speedy, friendly service. The gentleman even asked if my Fanta was cold enough cause he just put them in, attention to detail.

The truck looks nice and clean and the windows have screens which minimizes flies. The tables and parasols are clean and comfortable, good place to eat in the large lot, recessed back a bit from the Carling and Merivale traffic.

This place is dangerously close to my office ; )

The Citizen did say western Carolina but it is sweeter and therefore North Carolina based. Not the mustard and vinegar base.

According to the Citizen it's western Carolina.

NC pulled pork beats SC for my taste. Which one do these guys serve?

I tried the Cuban and it was one great sandwich! Not traditional as it uses pulled pork whose sweetness was balanced out with the saltiness of the pickles and the ham. I worry that a straight up pulled pork sandwich might be a bit sweet for my taste.

With all the hype around the pulled pork (justified as it is) Yesterday I decided to try the pork schnitzel and have to admit I was suitably impressed. It stood its ground against the big-guns and I would definitely order it again. I read they will soon offer specials...am looking forward to seeing what else they can do.

I succumbed to the lure of the pig this evening and visited TPB for dinner.

I had the pulled pork sandwich combo with an extra side of BBQ sauce. The pork on my sandwich was mostly floss with bits of caramelized bark. Great flavour.

The coleslaw on it's own was just there. But I didn't go there for the coleslaw, so it's a non issue in my eyes. I added most of it to my sandwich where it was a nice counterpoint to the richness of the pork.

The BBQ sauce was fantastic, a bit of heat, a bit of sweet, a little zing. Not sticky sweet, I've heard rumours that a bottle of Jim Beam goes into each batch. Whatever they use,I hope they don't change it.

The fries were hot and crispy, they're standard chip truck type fries. They didn't seem to be frozen to me. I didn't see them being cut or pulled out of a bag. Again, I'm there for the pig not the potato.

11.00 for the combo seemed like a reasonable price. I'll be back to try the ribs and other menu items.

Delicious. Fries could have been better but everything else (pork, sauce, temperature, serving size, bbq sauce) was excellent.

That menu sign is the worst though. So hard to read with the glare and darkness. Put it on the side of the truck, or on a sandwich board where more than 1 person can read it at a time (while squinting and crowding the person ordering).
