Ottawa Foodies

Since I now live in Orleans and Navan is actually closer than going downtown, I find myself coming here almost weekly. They have lots of great stuff. I'm a super big fan of spicy chocolate and I was excited to see they had Abuelita as I've wanted to try it for some time.

So far I've only made it with almond milk but it was very very good. Not really spicy since it just has cinnamon but still better than regular old hot chocolate.

So sad they are not within "whim" distance any longer.

Mail order will now force me to consider the impulse buys (who really needs another string of blinking chili lights?). Best bets are their dried chilies - I like the pre packaged sets (ie: for Mole, or Chili) because they are cost effective and you get a bunch of different types of peppers (use the catalogue to identify the stranger/more unique varieties).
