All the previous posts were right-on about this place. I tried BT for the first time last night. I ordered #2 (red curry chicken; pad thai w/chicken; white rice; two spring rolls -- my drink however was absent).

For fast-food thai, it was pretty satisfying. The pad thai isn't the best but definitely satisfies any urgent pangs. Eating it cold the day after was actually yummier. The red curry chicken was simply divine - very yummy! The spring rolls were bland. The portions were very generous. I can eat my fair share and I had leftovers. The quantity of chicken (white meat) throughout the dishes was very surprising. It is not possible to take a single bite without chicken. They sure didn't skimp on the goods.

Any time I need a quick fix for thai in the future, I'll be sure to call on BT.

Every once in a while, two friends and I order take out and plunk in front of the tv to watch ANTM. Having heard good reviews from Bon Thai, we decided to try it out for ourselves.

I ordered combo # 2: 2 spring rolls, pad thai, steamed rice, red curry and a can of Pepsi; I requested extra spicy, no bean sprouts. My friend ordered E2 (egg rolls), S2 (coconut soup) and W2 (wok stir fry of bamboo shoots, basil and chicken). We mentioned when ordering that we would pay with interact (they have a portable interact machine).

Food took 30/45 minutes to arrive which I thought was perfectly reasonable. Paid via interact but there was a charge of $1 – no big deal. Food was packaged in nice containers with tight fitting lids – very important when ordering soup or curry – don’t want to waste a drop!

Started with the spring rolls – okay but nothing special. Next I dove in the pad thai and red curry – yum! Delicious! They certainly did make it extra spicy! I love very spicy food but that was actually pushing the limit for me so next time I’ll stick to regular. The portions were very generous and I was totally stuffed by the time I finished my meal. I couldn’t actually finish my meal – as much as I didn’t want to, I had to leave behind two spoonfuls of red curry. *tear*

My friend said her egg rolls were also good but nothing special. Her coconut soup though was delicious! Perfect mix of sweetness and heat. Her stir fry she said was okay but that she preferred my curry and would order that next time. She also had way too much food which suited her just fine as she would have the rest in her lunch the next day.

Total for the both of us came up to $40 + tax and tip. A little bit pricey for take out but very reasonable for the quality and quantity we got. Will definitely order from Bon Thai again.

Had a litte "bon thai" tonight. Was feeling lazy so thought I would give it a try since its so close to my house. I had the green curry with beef and my girlfriend had "combo 1" which included eggplant, basil and chili veg, chicken and potato in yellow coconut curry, rice and 2 spring rolls.Oh ya and a pepsi? First off I had low expectations, but when the food arrive fairly quickly in these great little plastic container (almost like tupperwear) I was a little more excited. The green curry was so-so, I added some more fish sauce and chilies from my pantry to help it out, but all n all it was good. My girlfriend was happy with here combo, the eggplant was really good (I stole some) but the spring rolls Im sure they bought from the frozen section of price choppers or something. Not the best thai, but deffinetly not the worst. Will probably order it again as a late night lazz/crav.

I really like this place for delivery! Plus I live in Sandy Hill so this is very convenient! I love thai food and I've been to Thailand so I think I recognize fresh and authentic thai food when I taste one! It is exactly the typical/ traditional thai food you would find in Thailand streets. All the basics are covered: the pad thai is perfect as well as the delicious eggplants with basil!
I usually take combo #1 and my husband combo #2. I haven't tried the chicken satay yet but it should be as good as the rest! :-)
Anyways, I strongly advice this place to anyone who loves thai food!!

Wow... we were really impressed, given the low price and speedy delivery. I love Thai food; however, the two aspects that I don't enjoy are 1) it can be oily/greasy and 2) when I ask for "extra extra hot", I don't usually get it.

I can safely say that Bon Thai addressed both categories. I had the shrimp vermicelli salad (much larger and filling than it sounds) -- it was excellent. Six, very large, perfectly cooked shrimp, with a multitude of perfectly steamed veggies and vermicelli. The taste was nicely spicy (lots of bird chilis), yet flavourful.

My fiancee had Combo #2. 2 spring rolls, chicken pad thai, red chicken curry and a soft drink -- $14.95. Again, they honoured our request for spicy, and also for no bean sprouts on the pad thai. An abundance of freshly steamed veggies, "non-sketchy" white meat chicken, and nicely steamed rice. Spring rolls were the only downfall, being only "OK" -- standard, fried, food service stuff.

The best parts? Our total was under $30, the delivery came in (no joke) 19 minutes (which worried me it might be microwaved swag, but no, it was all freshly prepared), and the food was served in nice plastic containers therefore eliminating the need for separate plating (unlike the standard cardboard or styrofoam containers).

All in all -- not the most "gourmet" Thai food I've had, but really solid, generously portioned, freshly prepared food. All of which came at a reasonable price and with super speedy delivery.

Very pleasant surprise, and I strongly recommend -- especially for those in nearby neighbourhoods, such as Sandy Hill and the Market.

Bf and I ordered from here again last night and got the same as we did last time...the one picture I posted last....
Still really really good and very consistent...looked and tasted exactly like it did the previous times. Delivery took a little longer, about 45 min. Next time we order from here I'll have to try something else!!

We ordered Combo #5 (Vegetarian) for delivery from here...it comes with Pad Thai with Tofu and Vegetables, Stir Fried Eggplant with Chilly(that's how they spelled it!! heehee) & Basil Leaves, Steamed Rice & 2 Spring Rolls + 1 can of pop for only $14.95! The pad thai is really one of the best I've had with the right amount of heat, lots of noodles and chunks of tofu.

The eggplant is amazing with real fresh basil and chile...so soft but not mushy. The spring rolls come with their own tasty dipping sauce.

I'll post the picture...this will definitely replace Tuk Tuk Thai Express for our delivery!

Here is the pic of my delivery from Bon Thai. YUM!
