This place is great for wings! (McCarthy location)
There are over 101 different types to choose from and different quantities as well. We went as a group of 8 and were pleased with most of our choices. We tried some 'Chippy' Salt & Vinegar wings, a lot with different Jerk seasonings and some other creamy dill ones as well.
Awhile ago there was a contest with the Bear I think to see who could eat the hottest wings. They can't serve them anymore because people got severely sick and the restaurant could see a lawsuit about to happen. The hottest wings you can get right now are the managers special, and the sauce doesn't even come on the wings just incase! They're pretty damn hot, as my friend ordered them. They have a version hotter than that, but the manager has to be in the restaurant (we went pretty late, around 9pm) and you must sign a waiver!!!
A lot of fun.
Our service was terrible even though we were practically the only ones in there. Our server couldn't remember our drinks for free refills at all, nor could she remember anything when it came to divvying up the bills.
A fun place to go to try tho!
They have cool 'hot-chocolate' wings I'm going to try next, and maybe get the hillbilly special (1000 wings for about $650!! haha)
Went to Wild Wing for the first time last night and it won't be my last!
First thing I noticed when I went in was that the place was very clean, even along the baseboards was spic and span. Thumbs up!
Their menu is very extensive, tons of different kinds of wings. My husband and I wanted to try different flavours so we each ordered a single order. He ordered Ranch Peppercorn and I ordered Honey Jerk. Both were delicious but they weren't kidding when they said the Honey Jerk sauce was spicy!!! Big chunks of jalapeno - I couldn't feel my mouth towards the end. Next time, I think I'll stick to something a bit milder.
Two single orders of wings and three pops (along with tax) cost us $24 - I was very satisfied. I look forward to going back and I have a feeling it will be a regular date spot for my hubby and I.
Saturday night (Nov 3rd), we went to Wild Wing on St.Laurent (at Donald) for a friend's birthday. This was our first time visiting this restaurant but the birthday boy has been there many, many times.
It's like going to The Works for the first time. You need to read and re-read the menu several times before you get the gist of it and figure out what wings to order.
Because we wanted to try a few different flavours, Mr. Ksw and I opted to share three single orders (10 wings/order). You can order 20 wings and it's cheaper, but they all have to be the same flavour, but we wanted to try more than one kind so we paid the dollar or so extra/order.
We had:
I Am Canadian - Medium & Maple
Dirty Nelly - Medium & B~B~Q
Bounty Hunter - Pineapple Curry
All three sauces were delicious. We also traded for a Thai one to try which was also really good. Some of the wings were way overcooked and the birthday boy said that it doesn't usually happen so there may have been a newbie in the kitchen that night?
Our bill for three single orders with 4 beers came to almost $60 including tax and tip.
There were many more flavours I wanted to try so I guess we will just have to go back right? Check out their web site to see the selection.
