dislike self-describing profiles, but that aside, i've relocated to Ottawa after stints / careers in Vancouver, Japan, Thailand, Toronto, and other places. Middle-aging & (mostly) vegetarian, i spend the greater percentage of my discretionary income (and income that's not really mine) on food-related outings, often involving beer, wine and scotch.

Thanks for the reviews on Pookie's, I'm so curious to try the place. It's funny (maybe a bit tragic in a business sense) that some of Ottawa's best thai places are in such awkward or bizarre locations (Nokham Thai, Silver Spoon come to mind immediately). I'll be sure to give this place a shot though in the coming weeks.
