DurIan enjoys the cross-threading of his Euro ancestry with his Asian wife and in-laws' culture. His kids are fusion at its best: exotic but subtle, and the best of both worlds. Food is central, of course, with happiness defined by a slab of hamachi sashimi and cold beer, or bouillibaisse and a glass of red wine.
