Nine years ago I liked my steak well done, I was eating chef boy-r-dee, bologna (pronounced Bo-lo-na where i'm from) I ate lots of Tuna fish (not just Tuna) and vegetables were the exiled family member that wasn't invited to dinner... Ever!

Then I met her, she was awesome then, and remains awesome now! She was everything I could ever ask for. We dated, we fell in love, we got married and here I am 9 years later on a "foodie" website.

I don't eat anything (give or take the odd item) that comes in a can, I don't by processed crap whenever possible. I like my bread (whole grain) and fresh, I like my Chicken roasted not frozen, I like my Steak Medium (I am working up to rare slowly) but it still has to be a Filet Mignon.

I eat potatoes now which is more of a starch than a vegetable, and I eat some fruit now and again. I still don't think I will ever eat vegetables but I am trying. I invited a Cesar Salad to my table the other night, and I ate 1/2 of him.

So call me picky, call me whatever you want, but I am here because I experienced Foie Gras and want to go back for more. I experienced duck (in a can) and loved it. I had swordfish which was delicious (and the catch of the day) and I want more! Dammit! why can't Martin Picard open a restaurant in Ottawa!

Here's hoping I can chime in now and again to say hello maybe some of us will even dine together one of these days!

I'm glad you liked the Atelier experience. I haven't been, but I look forward to it. (Gotta save up!) I just wanted to say I enjoyed your review because it was so honest. I like the little steak-and-potatoes-to-foie-gras love story! :)
