Always dancing in the back of my mind is: Hmm, what will I eat next? Growing up, my father (German) did most of the cooking in our house. He was a master experimenter/creator and always encouraged me to get my hands in there too. And now I'm into it big time.
I enjoy reading ingredient lists on products then tweaking and improving them. One example: The Alpen cereal people should call me. Seriously.
Producing less garbage usually equals eating better. Try it.
I have a hard time in restaurants because the urge to go into the kitchen and help chop vegetables/roll dough/stir/fold napkins into fun shapes etc. is (almost) over-whelming.
Kitchens are labs for deliciousness.
