Always dancing in the back of my mind is: Hmm, what will I eat next?
Growing up, my father (German) did most of the cooking in our house. He was a master experimenter/creator and always encouraged me to get my hands in there too. I have fond memories of creating outstandingly delicious mustards, apple cakes, sauerkraut, and other kitchen masterpieces together...and a few bombs as well. All excellent fun.
I enjoy reading recipes and ingredient lists and then tweaking and building on them. One example: The Alpen cereal people should call me. Seriously. Coffee granules make it better. :)
Producing less garbage usually equals eating better.
I have a hard time in restaurants because the urge to go into the kitchen and help chop vegetables/roll dough/stir/fold napkins etc. is (almost) overwhelming.
Kitchens are labs for deliciousness.
