Ottawa Foodies

Hi All,

I am organizing a small event for the OttawaFoodies crew, as a thank you to Mark a.k.a Fresh Foodie (owner of OttawaFoodies) for all his hard work and dedication. This is NOT AT ALL an excuse to get together to drink beer. Anyone who is a member on this site is invited! Details follow below:

Date: Tuesday October 16, 2007 (Next Tuesday Night)
Location: Pub Italia (I don't have reservations yet, but will when I get an idea of how many people are interested.)
Time: 7:00pm
First Round of Beer is on ME!

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I'm so sorry that I'll have to miss it since I am now a Reginite (Reginian? Reginer?) masquerading as an Ottawa foodie (don't kick me out...please? *sniffle*). I wish this had been a few weeks earlier!

Thanks for putting this event together Pete! It'll be my first visit to Pub Italia and I'm looking forward to it.

BTW, nobody needs to thank me for anything. This is just a fun opportunity to meet some of the other people from here.

And FiH, what do you mean we're not worth a wee WestJet airplane ticket?? ;-)

There is a small chance I'll make it (hey, free beer!) but it's a busy time of year so it's not likely. But I'll be there in spirit! Have fun everyone.

Hi - This is a great idea!! I'd love to come, but can't - it my wedding anniversary and my husband might be upset if I ditched him in favour of a night out with Mark and the Ottawa Foodies.

FiH: You're not alone! I'm a (hopefully not to be much longer) Torontonian, who had to leave Ottawa for grad school. I come here to reminisce about all the old Ottawa restaurants that I miss!

Jimmy and I will definitely be there!

I'd love to come, but can't - ballroom dancing on Tuesday night.

I have other plans for that night but would be very interested in a meet-up - maybe in November?

I also ballroom on Tuesday night! =)

Ok folks. I've booked a booth at Pub Italia for 7:00 tomorrow (Tuesday) People confirmed as coming are:

If anyone else (other than zymurgist... got you counted) is thinking on coming please let me know so I can adjust the reservation if required.

Hey, we had a blast! Thanks very much Pete for your effort setting this up, and also for your generosity. It was fun to see Pam and Jimmy again and good to meet Momomoto.

I think we talked more about food than we did about parasites, so I think we're all good. ;-)

Agreed. That was definitely good times. Glad to meet everybody, and I am totally looking forward to the next social function. Thanks again, Mark, for this fantastic web page, and thanks Pete for getting the ball rolling.

The parasites? All you need to know, Candice, is that they cure asthma. And sometimes are pokey.
