Oh yeah, check the 2 minute 20 of this video I posted a while back about our tript to Big Strange New Brunswick Brew this year - you can see Nick whipping us up a big scoff of tacos at midnight on Saturday night - oh damn it was good!

I am 45 minutes from Halifax.(half year Ottawa, half NS) Do you know what his open hours are? We are often in Hfx for meetings in the evening and looking for a snack at 5 or 6 PM. This vid was inspiring!!!

Drove from the South Shore into Halifax yesterday. Stopped at "The Pie Lady" a drive up bakery. The woman bakes all night - pies, cookies, etc. Then she loads her trunk and sits in a lay by at the side of a busy road most of the day. When you pull in she comes to the car window and takes your order!! She does not even have a special van or anything, just an old car with a big trunk.
She is on a busy road. She is very popular and so the City of Halifax seems to be turning a blind eye. We bought shortbread cookies, butterscotch pie and chicken pot pie. Have only tasted the cookies and butterscotch pie - absolutely delish. The Chicken Pot Pie was still warm drom the oven!
I know there are a few OF members who are from this part of the world. We love the renegade, unregulated foods in Nova Scotia!

cudo's to the city for keeping their nose out of it.
