What is a Thintini? [General]
Feb 8
I always thought they were just thick pitas with fancy-pants holes in them. I've had them before and that was my impression. I think just about any bread recipe could work - just leave out or dramatically reduce the yeast.

Just reading the title of this thread I was envisioning some kind of low-calorie martini... Damn!

I checked ingredients of Thintini:
ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR, WATER, YEAST, SUGAR, SALT, OLIVE OIL,
VEGETABLE MONOGLYCERIDES, CALCIUM PROPIONATE, SORBIC ACID, STARCH, SORBITAN MONOSTEARATE.
Very lean dough, it reminds me focaccia (Roman flat bun) I baked at school.

Here is a picture of the bun.

I would like to make them from scratch but I don't know where to find a recipe. Does anyone have any ideas of what type of bread recipe I could use to get the same bun results?
