A poor copy paste job from the spammer in India, posting for a California restaurant. At least they are spamming food. The person who wrote this is advertising, albeit in a very poor way, for a restaurant in Santa Monica called Red O Mexican Cuisine. Same message was posted on a United Kingdom fitness and lifestyle website... same message except that posting has a link! Some weird rumours that Rick Bayless will be chef there...

Achem.

Churros are Spanish. Not Mexican.

In fact, Wikipedia doesn't even list Mexico as a country where they are popularly consumed.

I shouldn't be annoyed, but I am. Mostly because NU2436 got me all excited about Churros, and Spanish food. Eff.

I actually tried to read that, but gave up after a few lines!

Lady who brunches, I had great churros in Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and in Queretaro. They were quite similar to the Spanish ones, but served with Mexican hot chocolate instead of the pudding-y Spanish stuff.

Enjoy your trip!

Anytime churros are mentioned, I start to crave one. The closest I found was at Cinnabon. Not the greatest, but I haven't found any. The Super Ex used to sell them, but I can't wait.
