Ottawa Foodies

Looking for vanilla flakes that coffee houses provide for sprinkling over coffee. Is there a place in Ottawa that sells them? thank-you for your help.

What you find at places like Starbucks - besides bad coffee :) - is vanilla powder; vanilla bean extract mixed with a sugar base.
I'd first check out/call the Natural Food Pantry or (a good bet) Artistic Cake Design.

For something similar, but texturally different, you could buy and grate your own vanilla beans and create a mix with fine sugar.

Thank-you AMR for your information. You are right about Starbucks. This was the one coffee shop that my husband said the "vanilla flakes" weren't very good!
