Ottawa Foodies

An outstanding and varied selection, the best I've found in Ottawa -- including some real rarities. This is the first place I'd take a scotch lover.

I've been several times in the past and they were wonderful. Usually there is a theme of some kind and you get appetizers with the scotch as well. You get information sheets, too, so you don't have to try to remember next time you're out shopping or want to order a drink.

In the summer they hold them on the patio so you can bring a cigar, as well.

The Black Bear has a structured whisky tasting on the first Sunday of every month.

This is something that I hope to report back on soon.

If you can't wait for the new month, you can always get one of their pre-set whisky flights or roll your own. The list is pretty vast.
