Ottawa Foodies

A colleague of mine told me Istanbul Gourmet Food(vendor 1501) in the Lincoln Fields shopping centre sells authentic Turkish Delight.

Mmmmmmm Starch and Sugar.

Could never really get off on the stuff. But I did have a few Big Turk bars as a kid. Musta been the chocolate(y) coating.

The real stuff can be found in boxes at many of the Mid East stores here in Ottawa.

yes, it's a Turkish desert, jujube-like with nuts.... it's for my wife for her birthday.

My experience with Turkish Delight is limited to BIG TURK bars, but I assume you're looking for something of a little higher caliber :)
