Ottawa Foodies

there are groups of Scandinavians in Ottawa who get together to eat lutefisk once or twice a year. They order directly, in bulk, from Minnesota so the quality is pretty good.

The people in Canadian Nordic Society would know how to hook you up.

Food-grade lye is fine. It's the same thing those big Bavarian Bretzl are soaked in before being baked and those are awesome!
